About The Academy

 

Welcome to Paris Academy Northwest (PANW)! Since 200, we have been dedicated to providing-quality language instruction for students in grades K–12. Our offerings include before and after-school programs, immersive classes in French, Spanish, and Mandarin, and small group tutoring. Our mission is to nurture globally aware children by making second-language education accessible and engaging, as we proudly partner with schools across various districts in Greater Seattle Area.

 

​About the Owner/Founder

​

Parisa brings over 20 years of international experience in language instruction, holding a master's in French studies and Second Language Acquisition from York University, as well as a of Education in Teaching World Languages K-12 from SPU. Fluent in French, Persian, and English, she has served as a former language instructor and curriculum designer at Bellevue College's World Languages Department. Her expertise in Montessori-based curriculum design reflects her deep for language education. Parisa founded PANW, which started at her children’s elementary school and has now grown to serve communities across Seattle and its suburbs.

​About Curriculum

 

Welcome to our language academy! We offer engaging lessons divided into two levels for elementary students. Level 1 focuses on vocabulary expansion and correct pronunciation through ageappropriate phonic lessons, while Level 2 emphasizes simple sentence construction and basic grammar through fun games and songs. Middle school students benefit from our curriculum, which includes grammar, basic conversation, and phonics to prepare them for reading and comprehension in the target language. We adhere to the guidelines set by the American Council the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) to ensure a solid foundation for high school language electives required for graduation in Washington. After COVID-19, we have expanded our services to better meet the needs of our students.
